La Quoriena is a true escape from reality. Set on the slopes of a rich forest, the villa is surrounded with natural beauty and a diverse range of wildlife, my personal favourite being the colourful gecko who can often be spotted around the grounds. As a food-lover, heading just a few steps down to the nearby cafe was ideal for mealtimes. The menu featured a welcome mix of hearty yet creative dishes, which I thoroughly enjoyed whilst appreciating the breathtaking views which stretch all the way out to the ocean. After watching the sunset, drifting off to sleep to the peaceful sounds of the jungle was the perfect way to end each day.

The villa lived up to all expectations. It was the ideal place for my short nature-filled getaway. Beautiful views in all directions filled with greenery, flowers and trees. The small waterfall near the pool area was also a lovely surprise! Bedrooms are spacious and en-suite, and the kitchen is fully-fitted. My favorite was the terrace area that had pretty rattan seats and a breathtaking mountainous view, offering a tranquil ambiance that is rare to find in the city. The café had tasty lattes and service was great, all staff were very nice and attentive. Definitely recommend this villa to anyone seeking a Labuan Bajo experience on land😁

An adventure in comfort and style. While visiting Flores for the first time, I stayed at La Quoriena for 3 nights in September.
The villa is wonderfully set in the hills against a jungle backdrop. It offers some stunning views of the island and feels very integrated into the local wildlife, with lots to see, particularly for bird fans!
The location offers some great access to local days out and is perfect for anyone looking to explore. I would particularly recommend a visit to the nearby Manggarai village which was an incredible experience.
Our stay was very comfortable and the on-site cafe does a wide range of food to suit both local and international tastes. Staff were really friendly throughout and helped to make our stay memorable.
I would highly recommend a stay here and it is the perfect accommodation to see the heart of a really vibrant island.

La Quoriena is a labor of love of the owner. The riotous yet meticulously manicured tropical gardens are a testament to the owner's love of nature and her keen eye for beauty. There is a delicate balance throughout between the natural landscape and the human touch. The biophilic design is evident not just in the use of natural materials used throughout the villa but also in the water sourcing which uses mountain water to manage the extreme weather between dry and monsoon seasons. In an era where bleisure is the new mode of travel, one would be tempted to stay for months while working remotely.
